Woman accused of stealing relative’s medicine

A Minden woman is facing a variety of charges after police investigators determined she had allegedly been trading prescription pain medication with a pair of elderly women and replacing some pills with a common over-the-counter medication.

Allyson DShea Council, a 43-year-old resident of the 100 block of Clerk Street, is charged with theft, felony theft, cruelty to the infirmed and possession of CDS Sch. III (Hydrocodone) following her arrest Wednesday, chief of police Steve Cropper said.
