Lady Apaches fall to Lady Rebels

The Glenbrook Lady Apaches softball team fell to 7-2 in district play as they fell to the Claiborne Academy Lady Rebels Thursday, 7-5.

Jessica Mangrum pitched well but took the loss, dropping her overall record to 8-3.

Shelby Nicholas and Leanna Cooper led the team at the plate. Nicholas had a double and a triple, and Cooper added a single and a double.

The next action for the Lady Apaches will be Saturday when they travel to Farmerville to take on UCA at 11 a.m.

They will play at Franklin Academy on Monday, before returning home for their last home game on Thursday. That game, against Central School, will also be the Lady Apaches Senior Day.
