Kincannon - Madden United in Marriage

Elizabeth Nicole Kincannon and James William Madden were joined in marriage on March 16, 2013, during an evening ceremony which began at 6:30. The ceremony was held at St. Marks United Methodist Church in New Orleans and was overseen by Reverend Brian Mercer.

Elizabeth is the daughter of Ben and Deborah Kincannon of Ruston. She is the granddaughter of Sarah Howell Kincannon and the late Lt. Col. Benjamin Kincannon of Ruston. She is also the granddaughter of Betty Jennings White and the late Clarence Jackson White, also of Ruston.

Elizabeth is a graduate of Cedar Creek High School, Louisiana State University, and in May she shall graduate from Washington University of Law in St. Louis.

James is the son of David and Connie Madden of Minden. He is the grandson of James and Lyda Madden, as well as Russell and Ruth Adams, and the late Harold Wayne Johnson, all of Minden.

James is a graduate of Cedar Creek High School, Sewanee, The University of the South, and he has received his masters from Tulane University.

The bride wore an Elizabeth Fillmore gown of ivory french floral lace over a blush underlay of silk poult.  The modified mermaid gown featured a tailored sweetheart neckline and the waist was accentuated with an ivory sash that twisted into a full bow.

The chapel length veil was edged in beautiful lace. The bride carried O'Hara garden roses, flora-bunda roses, vendella roses, white stock, and freesia hand tied and wrapped with ivory dupioni silk.

Kendall Chandler Aubert, friend of the bride, served as Matron of Honor. The bridesmaids were friends of the bride Anna Lyons Hitt, Mary Catherine Johnson, and Heather Cruse Shaw, sister of the groom Caroline Hope Madden, and cousin of the bride Katheryn Emily White.

The bridesmaids wore gowns of slate chiffon by Jenny Yoo. The gowns featured a strapless sweetheart neckline with a slim A-line skirt falling from the waist. They carried vendella roses, ivory flora-bunda roses, white stock and freesia tied with blush satin ribbon.

Elizabeth was given in marriage by her parents, Ben and Deborah.

Serving as Best Man was Matthew David Madden, brother of the groom. The groomsmen serving were friends Williams Duncan Blake-Finley, Frank Jack DiMauro, Adrian Claudius Orbe, Clint McCay Ritchie, and John Russell Wilki, as well as brother of the bride, Jordan Lewell Kincannon.

Ushers were Austin Charles Fallin, Robert Douglas Gorman, Morgan Charles Ellis Manoff, and Kyle Daniel White.

Candlelighters were cousins of the bride, Caroline Grace Brashier and Mary Claire Kincannon.

Ella Grace Gisclair, cousin of the bride, served as flower girl, while the groom's cousin, Ryan Douglas Reagan, served as ring bearer.

Program Attendants included Hanna Elise Brashier, Mattie Eloiese Kincannon, cousins of the bride and Catherine Trawich Willis, Savannah Margaret Willis, cousins of the groom.

The reception was at Maison Montegut. The wedding party was led in a second line parade from the church to Maison Montegut by the Pinstripes, a New Orleans brass band.

Dixieland Music was provided by New Orleans Classical and Jazz, in the courtyard, during the cocktail hour. K-Pauls of New Orleans served Louisiana cuisine and Rockin Doopsie and the

Zydeco Twisters entertained and provided the dance music.

After a fall honeymoon in France, the couple will reside in Dallas, Texas.
