Budget, appeal top council agenda

The City of Minden's proposed budget for 2014-15 and an appeal concerning a zoning variance granted by the Minden Planning Commission top the city council agenda for the regular meeting Tuesday at 7 p.m. The meeting will kick off with a public hearing concerning the budget.

Following two days and nine hours of workshops, the city council is now looking at a proposed 2014-15 fiscal year budget of $30.3 million that is very tight but balanced, Mayor Tommy Davis said.
