Ephesians 4:29 tells us "Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers." Psalm 34:13 also tells us to keep our tongues from evil. First, however, we must establish what evil communication is.

It includes profanity, gossip, things that hurt others, inappropriate things, and lies. Christians are supposed to "Abstain from the appearance of evil" according to 1 Thessalonians 5:22. This requires work. This requires us to control our tongues.Subscribe to Read!
