Apaches, Panthers and Knights all get wins

Glenbrook 55, Riverfield 37

The Glenbrook Apaches (10-2) traveled to Rayville and brought home a 55-37 win.

"It was a big district win for us," Apache head coach Todd Spurlock said. "We probably played our best quarter of the year in the fourth. We finished real strong."

The Apaches led 37-29 at the end of the third quarter, and then out-scored Riverfield, 18-8, in the final quarter.

"We let them hang around for the first three quarters," Spurlock said. "We never could put them away, but we did that in the fourth quarter."

Jalen Patterson had a big night with 24 points and Maurice Moore added 17 points, 11 rebounds and six blocks. Cade Spurlock dropped in 10 points and eight rebounds and Regan Edwards had four points and nine rebounds.

Glenbrook will play next Monday night against Columbia Christian at the Minden Rec Complex.

"It will be nice to play back home in Minden for a change," Spurlock said. "We've only played at home once in our 12 games."

Doyline Panthers 103, Stanley 81

The Doyline offense steamrolled Stanley Tuesday night, putting up over 100 points.

Lawrence Hester led the Panthers with 27 points and Trey Jackson added 20. Jaylon Jackson scored 13 and Brandon Hampton scored 12. Dennie Brooks scored 11, J. Lindsey and C. Dawson each had nine.

Lady Panthers 60, Stanley 59

The Doyline Lady Panthers used a big second half to beat Stanley, 60-59.

Chantrell Johnson led Doyline with 27 points and Amber Ary added 13.

North Webster Knights 61, Fair Park 56

The North Webster Knights traveled to Shreveport and came home with a 61-56 win over Fair Park.

Dontavious Smith led the Knights with 15 points and Lytravious Gipson added 13. Montavious Smith and Devin White each scored 10 and Willie Lee dropped in eight.
