COUSHATTA — The Glenbrook Apaches traveled to Coushatta on Tuesday and came home with a 61-52 win.
And it was a long-awaited road win over Riverdale Academy.
"We hadn't won at their place since '07," Glenbrook head coach Todd Spurlock said. "So it was good to get a win."
The Apaches jumped out early, leading 18-14 at the end of the first quarter, they out-scored the Rebels, 11-10, in the second to increase their lead to 29-25 at the half. Glenbrook took the third, 15-11, and the teams played even (17-17) in the fourth to make the final 61-52.
Cade Spurlock led Glenbrook with 17 points and five rebounds and Maurice Moore turned in an all-around performance with 15 points, 15 rebounds, seven assists, four steals and four blocks. Jalen Patterson scored 16 points and had six assists and Regan Edwards added 11 points and 10 rebounds.
The Apaches will play again today as they take on Prairie View Academy at the Riverdale Doubleheader back in Coushatta.
