francis_whiteFrances Thornton White was born in Fordyce, Arkansas on March 11, 1922 and passed away in Dallas, Texas on Nov. 4, 2012 at the age of 90.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Grady White; son, Gary White; parents, Claude and Ernie Thornton; brothers, J.R. Cubage and Richard Thornton; and sister Jackie White.

Her 30 years of service at Beall's Department Store in Minden endeared her to many.

She was an avid bowler, as well as an accomplished seamstress. She was also a long-time Arkansas Razorback fan and enjoyed traveling to and from the games through the years with her brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday November 7 at noon at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden. Graveside services will follow at 2 p.m. at Gardens of Memory, with Brother Bill Ichter officiating. Her nephew, DeHaan Thornton and special family friend, Bobby Ray Moorehead will share the music.

Honorary pallbearers will be her nephews, Randy Brown and Scott, Brett and Lane Vance and her grandsons, Kent Bryan, Spencer and Jay White.

We are thankful for our "Mimi," who blessed us all with her love and care, and we are comforted to know that she is finally at peace in the presence of the Lord.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Wounded Warriors or a charity of the donor's choice.
