Luke Griffith paced the Lakeside from the mound and the batter's box as he lead the Warriors to a victory over St. Mary's in high school baseball action.
Griffith pitched a complete game for the win, striking out eight, as the Warriors took a 7-2 win. He also went three for four from behind the plate and scored a run.
While Griffith was pulling double duty, the real offensive power of the game was Jake Gray, who went two out of four but batted in four runs.
Lakeside scored three runs in the first two innings to take a 6-1 lead. They added another run in the fifth. The Warriors racked up 12 hits and had no errors.
Lakeside slugged the ball all over the field, notching four doubles. Earning doubles were: Coulson White, Luke Griffith (with two) and Chase Woodall. Warriors with hits included: Coulson White (2), Cameron Corely (2),

Lakeside scored five runs through the first four innings and had to withstand a North Desoto comeback attempt on the Warriors way to an 8-6 victory.
Coulson White lead the way from the batter's box for Lakeside with three hits and two RBIs. He also scored a pair of runs and slugged a home run over the fence.
He also added a double and stole two bases.
