Funeral services for Fannie Mae Huey will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 5, 2012 at St. John Divine Baptist Church, Heflin. Instate is at 12:30 p.m. Burial will follow in Moore Cemetery, Dubberly.
Open visitation will be today (Friday, May 4, 2012) from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. in the chapel at Benevolent Funeral Home.
Mrs. Fannie Mae Huey was born on April 28, 1963 to the union of Mr. Dezzy and Aretha Solomon in Heflin.
Sister Huey confessed of Christ at an early age and was baptized at St. John Divine Baptist Church under the leadership of the Rev. Harris. She grew up and was educated in Webster Parish schools and was a graduate of the May, 1981 class. Sister Huey was employed at Walmart Supercenter and also attended Bossier Parish Community College for medical transcriptionist.
Her mother, Aretha Solomon; maternal grandparents; nephew, Carteveous Solomon; and many others that she loved preceded Sister Huey in death.
Her memories will forever be cherished by those who loved her, father, Dezzy Solomon; husband, Ivory Huey; two daughters, Ms. Tinora Solomon (Roderick Clark) of Doyline and Ms. Tavia Solomon of Minden; four sons, Jimel Solomon of Minden, William Solomon of Minden, Semaj Solomon of Sibley and Quatarus Solomon of Sibley; five grandchildren, Jamaria Clark, Damarion McClendon, Keidric Clark, Roderick Clark Jr. and Kazaryia Cook; two sisters, Mary Solomon (Lonnie) and Rita Hamilton (Ray); two brothers, Davis Solomon (Tammy) and Donald Solomon; four sisters-in-law; two step-daughters; one stepson; and a host of family and friends.
