Funeral services for David Byron Manning, 65, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013 at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel with Bro. Billy Pierce officiating. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park.
The family will be receiving friends from 5 until 7 p.m. today (Monday, Feb. 4, 2013) at the funeral home.
David was born Feb. 6, 1947 in West Monroe. He served in the U.S. Navyduring the Vietnam Era and was a retired machinist from Libbey Glass. He was a member of Living Word Church in Minden, and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his wife, Marie. He lost his life to cancer on Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Byron and Etta Manning; and wife, Marie Manning.
He is survived by son, Jeff Manning and his wife, Amanda; daughters, Christie Manning and Jennifer Manning; and grandchildren, Piper, Madison and Bailey Manning.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Taylor, Steve Watson, Brad Edwards, Jim Fowler, Leon Caldwell and Mike Beckham.
