One arrested for theft of car

A Minden man who was asked to move his friend's vehicle, is in trouble with the law and the friend after he allegedly failed to bring the vehicle back.

Toronto Thomas, 47, of the 700 block of Sims Street, is charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

Chief Steve Cropper said Thomas was playing dominoes with some friends at an Apple Street residence when he was asked to move a 2003 GMC Envoy that was blocking another vehicle.
