Leatrice Clair Miller passed away Saturday, April 27, 2013 at Promises Acute Care Hospital in Bossier City. She was 88.
"Lea" was born Oct. 16, 1924 in Minden to C. V. and Eunice Henry McCollum. She graduated from Minden High School in 1942, and soon after, made a courageous move to Washington, D.C. to work for the civil service commission. When she returned to Minden she went to work for the railroad, where she remained until marrying 1st Lt. Woodrow S. Miller on June 21, 1946 and embarking on the life of a military spouse. The next 16 years were spent at various Air Force Bases in the United States and France.
