Christine Sparrow Miller was born in Buckner, Arkansas April 5, 1921, lived most of her life in Minden and was a resident of Napoleonville. She died April 30, 2012 in Thibodaux Regional Hospital, at the age of 91.
Christine was a sweet, quiet, little lady with a warm smile and slow southern drawl. She enjoyed being with her family, oil painting and reading.
Survivors include one daughter, Carol Ann Miller LeBlanc and husband, Joseph Carol LeBlanc, Jr.; grandchildren, Glenda L. DeBellevue and Gaylyn L. Fox and husband, John Fox; great-grandchildren, Aimee Cavalier, and husband, Wallace Cavalier, Jr., Claire Manchester, Tyler DeBellevue, Katy Beth DeBellevue, Andrew Fox and Nicholas Fox; and great-great-grandchildren, Wesley Cavalier and Jordan Cavalier.
Christine was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Percy Clinton Miller, Jr; parents, Clarence Hubert Sparrow and Effie Alexander Sparrow; grandson, Gary Joseph LeBlanc; and grandson-in-law, Paul DeBellevue.
Landry's Funeral Home in Thibodaux is in charge of arrangements. Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Minden, is in charge of Celebration of Life and graveside services on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at 11 a.m. with burial in Minden Cemetery.
Special appreciation to Dr. Charles Bolotte and to all of the doctors, nurses, staff and ICU unit of Thibodaux Regional Hospital who so compassionately cared for her during her illness. The family is eternally grateful.
