C E Valentine826Funeral services for C. E. Valentine, Jr. will be held Friday, March 22, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden. Officiating will be Rev. Steven Smithson. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory in Minden. The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m. today (Thursday) at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.

C.E. was born May 6, 1932 in Dubach and entered into rest March 18, 2013 in Minden. He served in the United States Army and went in business with Fomby Signs after coming home from the Korean War. He then went into business as co-owner of NESCO Signs in Bossier City, and in 1972, he started his own company, AD Signs in Minden. He also loved dirt track racing and was The Boss Hogg of Boss Hogg Racing Club and member and past president of Dixie Inn Hunting Club.

His mother, Agnes Colvin Valentine; father, Ed Valentine; and sister, Betty Davis preceded him in death

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Barbara Valentine of Minden; son, Chuck Valentine and wife, Brenda of Minden; daughter, Teresa Streetman and husband, Mike of Minden; brother-in-law, Sam Davis; grandchildren, Tara, Shane, and Sara Streetman, Chancy, Stormy and Savana Valentine; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Gerald McEachern, Marc Woods, Mel Smith, Rodney Peterson, Bobby Layton and K.C. Chandler.

Honorary pallbearers will be employees of AD Signs and Marcie Fowler.
