SPD: Man caught trying to steal truck

SPRINGHILL — An Arkansas man who was caught allegedly preparing to haul off a pickup truck from a Springhill auto dealer's lot has found himself hauled off to jail and facing an attempted theft charge.

Alcide Joseph Baudoin, 30, a resident of Maple Street in Magnolia, was taken into custody Wednesday after a police officer found him with a travel dolly hooked to his F-350 truck and a gray, extended cab pickup attached to the dolly, Springhill Chief of Police Will Lynd said.
