DODSON — The Doyline Panthers dropped a 9-4 district game to Dodson on Tuesday.
“We just can't seem to get rolling again,” Doyline coach John Austin said. “We had five errors in two innings and you can't win ball games like that.”
Luke Watson took the loss on the mound.
Peyton Goerner led the offense with a single and a double and drove in all four Panther runs.
Zach Jordan added a pair of singles and Micheal Augustine had a double. Watson and Garrett Smith added singles.
“I think our time is coming,” Austin said. “We are hitting the ball hard, just not getting the breaks we need and we are carrying it out on to the field with us. Once we get past this, I think we will be okay.”
Doyline is now 7-11 overall and 0-4 in district.
