Jack Chappell Holomon, 85, of Dubberly, passed away Friday, Feb. 1, 2013.
He was preceded in death by Vinton, Ellen and brother, Risdon Holomon, as well as Shari Holomon Gibbs, the mother of his children.
Services were held at Brushwood United Methodist Church, Dubberly, at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013. Officiating were Rev. Bill Ichter and Rev. Leland Crawford. Interment followed at Brushwood Cemetery.
Visitation was held Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013 from 5 until 8 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.
Jack was born April 18, 1927 in Dubberly to Vinton and Ellen Holomon and passed away at Northwest Louisiana War Veterans Home in Bossier. Jack was a veteran of World War II and a past Master of Fairpark F&AM Lodge # 436.
Jack is survived by Sandra Holomon, Jackie Holomon, Alvin Holomon and wife, Nona, Cookie Holomon Goddard and husband, Dan, Mike Holomon and wife, Becky, and Lisa Holomon Jackson.
Papaw Jack was what his grandchildren affectionately called him. They are Allan Mark Kaminski, Leah Powell, Patrick Kaminski, Jeremy Arnold, Wendy Arnold, Chris Holomon, Dusty Swegel, Autumn Hester Walker, Rebel Hester Harris, Brian Hester, Amanda Nichols, Shannon Holomon, Angelia Hadley, Paula Schmidt, Garrett Holomon, Will Holomon, Samantha Gore Anderson and Brooklyn Jackson. He is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers were Allan Mark Kaminski, Chris Holomon, Garrett Holomon, Will Holomon, Jeremy Arnold, Marc Pittman and Tommy LePoint.
The family wishes to thank the War Veterans Home for the love and care they gave Daddy for four years.
