KSLA 12 anchor is parade marshal

DOUG_WARNEREvery parade is graced with a Grand Marshal and this year's Fasching Karneval and Parade will be headed up by KSLA News 12 morning co-anchor Doug Warner.

Warner is a Louisiana native from DeRidder and graduated from McNeese State University in Lake Charles.

Before returning to Shreveport, he worked as a news anchor and reporter in Beaumont and Waco, Texas and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

During his two decades in the television and radio industries, Warner has earned countless honors across Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana – including most recently the 2012 Louisiana Associated Press Reporter of the Year.

Through the years, Warner has volunteered his time and efforts with the American Red Cross, Multiple Sclerosis Association, the Limbs for Life Organization and as a co-host for the MDA Jerry Lewis Telethon in Oklahoma City.

Warner has one son, six- year-old Blake.

He has volunteered as Blake's coach and official with Little League Baseball in both Oklahoma City and Bossier City for the past five years.
