The first reunion of Yellow Pine Church was held in 1950. Bob Duncan, a native of Yellow Pine, returned from California to visit his old home.
He and some of the old settlers decided to get as many old friends as possible together for a reunion. They chose July 4th and decided the "best" place to meet was the Yellow Pine Church.
