According to The Phyllis Schlafly Report of April, contrary to Obama’s statement that more taxpayer spending will reduce unemployment or help the economy is false.
Why, Phyllis asks, should taxpayers have to continue deficit spending to send kids to college when there are not enough jobs now? The average student loan debt of last year’s graduate was $24,000. The more federal money given for college tuition, the higher the price of tuition. As with health care, government financial aid makes things cost more.
It’s time we all ask, is college worth it when the graduates can’t find jobs to pay off their student loans?
Government should get out. Some students now take courses on line, a far better solution than more spending.
