James Denson Stahl

James Denson Stahl

James Denson Stahl of Houston, Texas, formerly of Dubberly, died August 14, 2014, after a short illness. He was born March 15, 1921, in Dubberly and lived to be 93 years old.

James served in the United States Air Force in World War II envisioning to serve as a pilot but his hearing prevented that pursuit. After the service he worked at United Gas, later Pennzoil, and retired after 47 years. At that time he and his wife, Dottie, moved back to his birthplace and built a home in Dubberly, where they lived until her death. He then moved to Houston to be close to his children.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dottie Williams; sister, Mary Grace Cox and husband, Frank; brother, Harold Stahl and wife, Doyce; and brother-in-law, Mack Rowland.
