Minden High holds basketball banquet

The Minden High basketball teams recently held their annual basketball banquet at Elliot's Restaurant in Minden.

Both teams gave out a number of team awards.

For the Lady Tiders, T'Keya Moore took the top honor as Team MVP. Jeronia Allen was the Offensive MVP and Ja'Masha Hill was the defensive MVP.

Free Throw %: Kayla Carter; Field Goal %: Jeronia Allen; Three-point %: Jeronia Allen; Assist Leader: T'Keya Moore; Steals Leader: T'Keya Moore; Highest GPA: Cherie Boner; Leading Scorer: T'Keya Moore; Leading Rebounder: Miranda Fisher; Coaches Award: Ja'Masha Hill; Hustle Award: Cherie Bonner; Sportsmanship Award: Kayla Carter and Most Improved Award: Miranda Fisher

T'Keya Moore (First Team) and Jeronia allen (Second Team), Ja'Masha Hill (Honorable Mention), Kayla (Honorable Mention) and Miranda Fisher (Honorable Mention) were honored for making the All-District Teams.

For the Tiders, A.J. Shine was named Team MVP and Rodarion Rogers took home the Rickey Frazier Award.

Top Field Goal %: DeMondre' Harvey; Top Free Throw %: T.J. Stanley; Outstanding Rebounder: DeMondre' Harvey; Outstanding Offensive Player: Jeffery Walker and Outstanding Defensive Player: Simon Theus

A.J. Shine, DeMondre' Harvey, Jeffery Walker, Simon Theus and T,J, Stanley were honored for making the 1-4A All District Teams, and Shine, Walker and Harvey were honored for making All-Area.

A.J. Shine and Jeffery Walker were acknowledged for making the Class 4A All-State list.
