Crimson Tide to play in Bastrop Tournament
BOSSIER — The Minden Crimson Tide improved to 10-3 with an 8-6 win over Parkway High School in Bossier on Tuesday.
The Tide trailed 5-0 after two innings but scored three in the top of the third and four in the top of the fourth to take the lead. They scored another run in the fifth and then held on for the win.
In the third, Minden scored three times as Marshall Frye reached on an error and Mikey James followed with a double. With runners at second and third, MaCaul Lacobee drove in Frye with a sac fly. Turner Francis then doubled in James, and would later score on a Parkway error.
In the fourth, the Tide scored a pair of runs on a two-run single by Francis and two more on Parkway errors.
In the fifth, McCaul Lacobee drove in Thomas Pevy who led off the inning with a single.
Carson Bolyer started on the mound and took the win for the Crimson Tide. Bolyer went all seven innings, scattering eight hits and struck out five.
Francis led the Tide at the plate as he went two-for-five with three RBIs. Mikey James added two singles and a double, and Lacobee went three-for-three with two RBIs.
Bolyer, Corey DeMoss (double) and Thomas Pevy all added base hits.
The Crimson Tide will finish out the week with games in the Bastrop Tournament.
