Lakeside rolls past Jonesboro-Hodge, 11-3

JONESBORO — The Lakeside Warriors put up double-digit runs in their win over Jonesboro-Hodge on Tuesday.

The Warriors beat the Tigers, 11-3.

"The game was close early," Lakeside assistant coach Will Gray said. "We hit the ball hard early in the game, but they made some really good plays. What broke it open was we scored four runs in the sixth, then we added five more in the seventh."

Cameron Corley improved his record to 2-4 as he picked up the win on the mound for Lakeside.

Corley also starred at the plate, going four-for-four with a pair of doubles. Coulson White had a single and a double as did Chase Woodall. Jake Gray and Thomas Lambert both had two hits and Cameron Gray added a single.

The Warriors will host Loyola today at 6 p.m. at Lakeside.
