Wanted invader goes to police

Justin HarrisonA man who saw his face in the Webster's Most Wanted section of the Minden Press-Herald, is now in a Webster Parish jail.

Chief Steve Cropper said around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Justin Harrison, 22, of the 300 block of S. Gum Street, arrived at the Minden Police Department and surrendered on warrants for home invasion, aggravated battery, aggravated second degree battery and theft of a motor vehicle.

"He was advised of his rights by Ofc. Joel Kendrick and was placed in a holding cell," Cropper said. "He was booked and later transported to Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center where he is being housed under a $40,000 bond.

Cropper said Harrison was wanted for breaking into a residence on B.F. Martin Street on January 2.

"Once he entered the residence, he had a pistol in his hand and struck two different people with it causing injuries sufficient to send both to the hospital to be treated," Cropper said. "After he battered these two subjects, he grabbed a set of keys from the residence and left, taking a vehicle that belonged to one of the victims."

Officers reportedly found the vehicle later that night at a residence on Lee Street.
