Girls Scouts hold annual awards banquet

Girls Scouts hold annual awards banquet

Girl Scout Troop 508 consisted this past year of 19 girls ranging from kindergarten to fourth grade. Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.

At the banquet the girls gave out awards to several local businesses and individuals who have played a part in the Girl Scouts.

"Without community service, we would not have a strong quality of life," said Nikki McCoy, 508 Troop Leader. "It's important to the person who serves as well as the recipient. It's the way in which we ourselves grow and develop."
