Church members display flags in memory of loved ones

What started as a fundraiser for a church youth group has grown into one of Minden's most stunning patriotic displays with 100 American flags anchoring the corner of Homer Road and La. Hwy. 531.

"About 70 of these flags are in memory or honor of someone," Morris Busby, member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, said.

Busby said it began as a project with Wesley Barnett and the church's youth department.
