Dealer draws more jail time

burkleyA Springhill man who was already serving time in the Springhill City Jail, will spend even more time at Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center after he was arrested while he was still behind bars.

Members of the North Webster Drug Task Force – Springhill Det. Ronald Wedgeworth, Springhill Police Chief Will Lynd and Webster Parish Sheriff's Lt. Shawn Baker served active distribution and possession warrants to Dionta Joseph Burkley, 19, of the 500 block of Shady Oak.

Two of the warrants were for distribution of CDS Sch. I (marijuana) and the third was for simple possession of CDS Sch. I.

Burkley also had an active probation warrant through Probation and Parole.
