The Glenbrook Lady Apaches continued their hot start to the 2012 softball seaso as they beat Claiborne Academy, 16-12, on Thursday.
The win improved Glenbrook's record to 6-1 and 2-0 in district play.
Lady Apache starter Lucille Dayton took the win and improved her personal record to 3-1.
Among the numerous hitting stars for Glenbrook was Sunni Wilson, who led the way with two hits and two runs batted in.
Carsin Spurlock had two singles and a RBI, and Melody Hanson knocked in two runs and singled. Megan Sims and Macey Branch both had RBI-singles, as did Katie Kidd. Leanna Cooper and Shelby Nicholas both added singles.
The Lady Apaches will travel to Bastrop tomorrow to take part in the PVA Tournament. Glenbrook will play Tensas at 10:40 a.m.
