Lady Apaches offense rolls in 18-6 wwin over Riverdale

The Glenbrook Lady Apaches improved to 5-1 with a 18-6 win over Riverdale on Tuesday.

The Lady Apaches pounded out 20 hits as they out-slugged the Lady Rebels for the third time this season.

Sunni Wilson led the way with a three-for-five, two RBI game. Wilson slugged her second home run of the season to go along with a double and a single.

Gracyn Gorman blasted two doubles and a single and drove in a run, and Leanna Cooper had three singles and a RBI. Melody Hanson had two hits and drove in two runs, as did Katie Kidd.

Carsin Spurlock had three hits (a double and two singles) and drove in a pair of runs and Shelby Nicholas doubled and singled.

Jessica Mangrum took the win on the mound for Glenbrook, improving her personal record to 3-0. She also added a single, double and two RBIs.

The Lady Apaches will play again today at home vs. Claiborne Academy at 5:30 p.m. and will play in the Prairie View Academy Tournament Saturday morning at 10:40 a.m. against Tensas.
