The Minden High School Golf Team hosted a high school golf tournament Moday at the Grove.
Due to the storm that pushed through that area the tourney was suspended after nine holes of play. Eight schools brought fifty-one high school golfers, boys and girls, to participate.
In the girls division, MHS's Bailey Hassell was the leader after nine holes and took first place. MHS also took first place in the low score girls team with Many taking second and Castor taking third. Malorie Hatfield also turned in a good score to help place MHS.
In the boys division, Caleb Smart of Lakeside shot the low score and placed first. John Morrow of Many placed second.
Many High School won the Boys Team division, Lakeside came in second and MHS third. Connor and Colby Williams, Jacob Lester, Chase Toland, Marshall Frye, Austin Taylor and Matthew Higgens paced the Tide. Bailey Hassel and Malorie Hatfield will compete in Alexandria at the Girls Regional next week.
