Lakeside High School will host a three-school basketball jamboree Thursday night at the school.

Teams from Lakeside, Minden High and Ringgold will all take part.

The jamboree schedule is as follows:

5 p.m. Lakeside JV boys vs. Minden JV boys

5:30 p.m. Minden girls vs. Ringgold girls

6 p.m. Lakeside girls vs. Ringgold girls

6:30 p.m. Lakeside girls vs. Minden girls

7 p.m. Minden boys vs. Ringgold boys

7:30 p.m. Lakeside boys vs. Ringgold boys

8 p.m. Lakeside boys vs. Minden boys

All varsity games will be 10 minutes long, with five minutes between games. The JV boys game will be one 15 minute half. Admission will be $5.

As usual, the marquee match-up will be the nightcap with the Lakeside boys taking on the Minden boys.

Lakeside head coach Jason Gould has a number of players back from last year.

"We feel like we should be ok this year," he said. "We have a lot of experience coming back. We have our best player and leading scorer T.J. Carpenter coming back as well as Jerrell Tellis and Tarus Erving. Jerrell is a quick guard that leads our defense and Tarus is a consistent post player."

Minden High head coach Alan Shaw, on the other hand, will be starting basically a whole new starting five.

"This will be a rebuilding season as we lost six of our top seven players from last year," he said. "We have a young and inexperienced, but hard working group. The only returning starter from last year is D.J. Wallace, who went down with a knee injury in December. So we basically lost all five starters."
