Cora B. Shyne

9-1_shyne_obit721Funeral Services for Ms. Cora B. Shyne will be held Saturday, Sept. 3, 2011, at 1 p.m. at Springhill C.M.E Church on Germantown Hwy. 534.

Interment will be in Springhill Church Community Cemetary. The death Angel visited Cornerstone hospital, Bossier City on August 24, 2011 and took Sister Cora B. Shyne to her Heavenly Home.

Visitation hour will be held at Benevolent Funeral Home Friday, Sept. 2, 2011, with family hour from 6 until 7 p.m. A rosary will be conducted by Harmony Chapter #810 E.S.

Sister Shyne was born to the late Willie B. Shyne and Athlene Harris Shyne Nov. 15, 1913.

She accepted the Lord as her Savior, August 1927 and joined Springhill CME Church where she remained faithful until death.

Cora leaves to cherish her loving memory two grandchildren, Melvin Hunt III and Teresita Hunt; a step-daughter, Mary Clemons and family; five sisters, Elva Manning and Pearlena Clark of Minden, Lula Mae Thompson, Francis Willie Sims and Daisy S. Johnson; and one brother, Rev. O'Neal Shyne, all of Dayton, Ohio. She is also survived by one sister-in-law, Adell Shine, Minden, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
