Minden trips up Tigers, 48-34

The Minden Crimson Tide clinched the district championship Friday night in Benton, overtaking the Tigers late in the fourth quarter on the way to a 48-34 win.

The Tide had an offensive explosion against the Benton defense, with quarterback Turner Francis having his best showing of the year, shredding the overmatched Tiger secondary with 361 yards and four touchdowns passing on 16 completions. Senior receiver Jared Johnson also had a standout game, grabbing seven balls, two of them for touchdowns.
