Minden High takes walk-off win

Crimson Tide advances to quarterfinals

The Minden Crimson Tide beat Archbishop Shaw in walk-off fashion Monday at Griffith Stadium, but not in the usual walk-off style.

Derek Herrington's fifth-inning three-run home run ended the game by extending Minden's lead to 14-2, giving the Tide the win due to the 10-run mercy rule.

Herrington also starred on the mound, as he improved his record to 9-0. he went all five innings, allowing two runs on five hits, while striking out four.
