Minden High splits pair with Homer

Minden High splits pair with Homer

The Minden High basketball teams opened their 2011-12 regular season with a pair of home games against Homer Monday night.

And they came away with a split as the Crimson Tide beat the Pelicans, 63-58, and the Lady Tiders fell to the Lady Pels, 65-51.

Coach Alan Shaw's Crimson Tide featured a number of new players and they played well enough to get the win.
