Man arrested for stealing copper at Camp Minden
A local man has been arrested in an investigation of copper theft at Camp Minden.
According to Webster Parish Sheriff's investigators, Eddy Gene Bogues, 61, of the 1500 block of Hwy. 157, Minden, was arrested late last week on warrants of felony theft of copper over $100,000 and felony criminal damage to property.
A spokesperson said Bogues was located by deputies Bobby Igo, III, Joel Thomas and Wade Wells at a building on the Louisiana Army Ammunition Plant grounds of Camp Minden, where he was taken into custody. He was booked and transported to Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center, where he is held on bonds totaling $100,000.
