Local law enforcement agencies aided neighboring departments Friday afternoon after four robbery suspects made a choice to run from the law.
"After receiving a call from Lincoln Parish Sheriffs Office, one of my units spotted the burglars at Exit 69," Bienville Parish Sheriff John Ballance said. "They gave chase until they were apprehended at exit 47."
Ballance said mutual cooperation enabled the subjects' capture, including the help from Minden Police Department.
"We got a call Friday afternoon about suspects fleeing Bienville Parish after a robbery," Minden Police Chief Steve Cropper said. "We responded to that by sending units out to I-20 exits."
Cropper said unexpected traffic congestion aided in the capture.
"The subjects were able to be apprehended after they pulled over to the shoulder," he said. "For some unknown reason, traffic was slowing down and they really didn't have an other option, other than to pull over."
Webster Parish Sheriffs Office and Louisiana State Police also responded to Bienville's call for aid.
According to Louisiana State Police, the robbery was committed in Grambling and the Grambling Police Department was the originating agency. Bienville Parish Sheriffs Office and Arcadia Police Department located the suspects in Arcadia and then pursued them to Webster Parish along Interstate 20.
