Webster woman busted for weed
Having a green thumb has gotten a Minden woman in trouble with the law.
Pamela Kaye Roberson, 28, of the 900 block of Evergreen Road, has been arrested by Webster Parish Sheriff's deputies and charged with possession, manufacturing and cultivation of CDS Sch. I marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, two counts of cruelty to a juvenile and illegal carrying of a weapon.
According to reports, Roberson was arrested after officers received a tip of suspicious activity taking place at her residence.
During an investigation, Roberson allegedly sold marijuana to undercover agents.
On Friday, Capt. Robert Hayden, Lt. Scott Tucker, Sgt. Tommy Kemp, Jr., and deputies Wade Wells, Bobby Igo, III, Joel Thomas and Ricky Corke reportedly executed a search warrant at Roberson's address where they located a complete "grow room" inside a partitioned garage.
Inside, they located large lights, fans, thermometers and other growing components, along with approximately 40 suspected marijuana plants in various stages of growth – some reportedly close to four feet, six inches tall.
A small child – one of two children in the residence – was also found in a bed near large amounts of marijuana that were drying and being cut for sale.
A 32 caliber semi-automatic pistol was reportedly found near the marijuana, along with marijuana pipes, bongs, baggies and $310 cash, which was seized by the 26th Judicial District.
