Chief says shift change makes a difference
When Steve Cropper took the reins as Minden Police Chief, one of the first changes he implemented was a 12-hour work shift for officers.
One year later, Cropper attributes a large portion of the success his department enjoys to that decision.
"I feel like the more visibility by having more officers out on the streets per shift helped a lot – especially with the night time break-ins," Cropper said. "It's deterred a lot of it."
