Funeral services for Mrs. Fanell Barnes Bandy, 82, will be held Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. in Springhill United Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Dewey Bass and the Rev. Lyn Story officiating. Interment will follow in Springhill Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill.
Visitation will be held today (Friday) from 5 until 8 p.m. at Bailey Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bandy was born Jan. 24, 1930 to Willis Bradford and Emma Fulgium Barnes and passed away Thursday, May 17, 2012 in Bossier City. She was a lifelong resident of this area, a faithful member of Springhill United Pentecostal Church and a homemaker.
She is survived by her son, Jimmy Bandy and wife, Helen of Plain Dealing; daughter, Nelda B. McCoy of Plain Dealing; four grandchildren, Steven Vaughan and wife, Shawna, Debra Phillips and husband, Mike, Jeremy Bandy and wife, Crystal and Sean Bandy and fiancee', Angela Adams; great-grandchildren, Damian, Kailey, Jordan, Destiny, Henley, Tesla and Ava; and sister, Louise B. Boone and husband, Kenneth of Springhill.
Mrs. Bandy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 49 years, Roy Bandy; three brothers and four sisters.
Serving as pallbearers will be Brandon Cox, Horace Cox, the Rev. Dean Sales, Ricky Whiseant, Jesse Shaffer and Daniel Duck.
