Saturday will be a Day to Remember

Saturday, July 20, 2013 will be a day to remember. I had the opportunity and good fortune to attend two activities that centers and places their focus on our future. The Louisiana National Guard Youth Challenge Program that is conducted at Camp Minden provides a second chance opportunity for our high school students that have for a multitude of reasons, their lives have taken a detour, the American Dream is just a faint phrase and at this point in their lives, not within their grasps.

I laud the Louisiana National Guard, under the leadership of MG Glenn Curtis, and the finest staff, Cadre and support staff found anywhere in America. Bossier Parish Community College, mentor's, pastor's, parents, local business leaders and other are also available to lend their assistance and support.
