Webster Parish's drug task force team arrested a Springhill man who was hiding in his closet to avoid the law.
William Dale McCoy was charged with one count of conspiracy to distribute CDS Sch. III (Lortab), two counts of distribution of CDS Sch. III (Hydrocodone) and one count of possession of CDS Sch. IV (Alprazolam) without a prescription.
Springhill Police Chief Will Lynd, Narcotics Officer Ronald Wedgeworth and Webster Parish Sheriff's Lt. Shawn Baker went to McCoy's residence to serve active distribution warrants. They found McCoy hiding in the bathroom closet.
McCoy reportedly gave the authorities permission to search his vehicle located behind the residence.
Hidden in the door post panel was they located several pills wrapped in paper towels and hidden in a package of cigarettes.
McCoy was taken to the Springhill Police Department and later transported to Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center.
