An Arkansas man, wanted by Webster Parish law enforcement was arrested in Bowie County, Texas earlier this week.
Torris DeWayne Richardson, 29, of the 1400 block of East 35th Street, Texarkana, Arkansas, was wanted by the North Webster Drug Task Force on two counts of distribution of CDS Sch. II methamphetamine, one count of distribution of CDS Sch. I marijuana and as a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
Bowie County Sheriff's deputies reportedly stopped Richardson's vehicle Monday and, after checking with National Crime Information Center (NCIC), deputies discovered Richardson was wanted through the Springhill Police Department.
On Tuesday, Richardson reportedly signed a waiver of extradition and was returned to Springhill where he was formally arrested by SPD Chief Will Lynd, assisted by Lt. Shawn Baker, with the Webster Parish Sheriff's Office and Springhill Police Det. Ronald Wedgeworth.
Richardson was booked and later transported to Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center where he is held under bonds totalling $90,000.
