Ernestine Hortman, 83, of Minden passed away on Sept. 30, 2012 in Frisco, Texas. She was born Oct. 5, 1928 in Buckner, Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Curtis "Doc" Martin; parents, Susie Alexander House and Ernest Alexander; her daughter, Diane Martin Olds; and two sisters, Betty Sue Aubrey and Willa Mae Fowler.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kay and Willie Kelley of Mesquite, Texas; her son, Rod Hortman, Jr. of Minden; sister, Hazel Ratcliff of New Boston, Texas; brother-in-law, James Aubrey of Shreveport; grandchildren, Crystal Ramsey, Jonathan Kelley, Jeremy Olds, Matthew Hortman and Kim Hortman; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Minden.
Graveside services for Ernestine Hortman will be held Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Gardens of Memory in Minden under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden. Officiating will be Rev. Bill Ichter. The family will receive friends from 9 until 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Rose-Neath Funeral Home.
