Funeral services for Mrs. Eva Mae Bandy, 90, were held at 11 a.m. today (Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012) at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Deacon Larry Mills officiating. Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill.
The family received visitors from 5 until 8 p.m. Monday, at Bailey Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bandy was born June 15, 1922 in Rumford, Maine to Romeo Arthur and Edith Mae Henry Turgeon and died Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012 in Bossier City.
She had been a resident of Springhill since 1938, was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was a homemaker. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by sons, Mark Bandy of Shreveport and James Bandy of Springhill; daughters, Deborah Dickson and husband, David of Doyline, Sharon Smith and husband, Michael of Minden and Patricia Carver and husband, Bill of Shongaloo; grandchildren, Jeramy Dickson and wife, Michelle of Pineville, Nicole Fish and husband, Mark of Princeton, Damian Miller and wife, Heather of Taylor, Arkansas; Erik Miller and Wendy and Myranda Smith-Terry and husband, Steven all of Minden; great-grandchildren, Justin, Jonathan, Savannah, Micah and Paden.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Hamp Bandy on March 19, 2003; her parents; brothers, Robert Turgeon and Romeo Turgeon, Jr.; sisters, Adelaide Turgeon and Dorothy McKinney; and grandsons, Andrew Carver, Stephen and Stanley Bandy.
Serving as pallbearers were Justin Fish, Mark Fish, Damian Miller, Erik Miller, Michael Smith and Jeramy Dickson.
The family would like to thank the staff and nurses of Promise Hospital for their kindness and care during her stay and a special thanks to Robin and Deborah.
