Carol Imogene Price

PriceCarolServices for Carol Imogene Price, 76, will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, June 9, 2011 at Rose-Neath’s Bossier Chapel.  Officiating will be the Rev. Larry O’Dell, assisted by the Rev. Steve Caraway.  Interment will follow at Lay Cemetery, Benton.  Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City.

Carol was born Dec. 25, 1934 in Benton to William Dixon Oliver, Sr. and Addie Vera Hughes Oliver and died June 3, 2011 in New York City, New York.

She was a member of Mangum United Methodist Church and enjoyed spending time with the Joy Sunday School Class. Her favorite hobby was playing Bunco with her friends. She was an avid walker in her neighborhood and at the local mall.  She loved cruises and had just finished a 30-day European cruise with her husband at the time of her death.

Her father; brother, W.D. Oliver, Jr.; and brother-in-law, Harry Creech preceded her in death.   

Carol leaves behind her husband of 55 years, Jerry Price of Bossier City; mother, Addie Oliver of Benton; daughters, Sandy Johnson and husband, Doug of Houston, Texas and Pam Price of Houston, Texas; sisters, Brenda Pons and husband, Paul of Bossier City and Clarice Creech of Bossier City; sister-in-law, Lydia Mae Oliver of Bossier City; and grandchildren, Kelly Mallini and fiancé, Jake Page and Lori Mallini.  She is also survived by her nieces, a nephew and numerous friends.

Honoring Carol as pallbearers will be Jim McCoy, Bill Barkas, Paul Pons, Dwayne Brobst, Jack Page and Howard Brooks. 

Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Harper, Curtis Williams, Herb Byars and M.S. O’Dell.
