Honey Brake, the Taj Mahal on Larto Lake

I was just a kid the only time I wet a hook in the Saline/Larto Lake area. My dad took my brother and me fishing down in that part of the world and introduced us to some of the most exciting crappie fishing action I ever enjoyed.

Since then, I've including fishing reports from that area of east-central Louisiana in reports I do each month for Louisiana Sportsman magazine. My reports, however, have been the result of telephone contacts with a guide down in that area. As far as hands-on experience, I haven't had any since that trip with my dad long ago.
