Payne - Davis United in Marriage

payne_10-05Ashley Leanne Payne and Clinton James Davis were united in marriage on Saturday, September 29th, 2012 in Shreveport.

 The ceremony was held at Brown Memorial Chapel on the campus of Centenary College and was officiated by Dr. Tom Harrison. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Donna Hatcher Payne and the late Mr. Ralph Everett Payne of Minden. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Everett Payne of Haynesville and Dr. and Mrs. Weldon Hatcher of Ridgeland, Mississippi.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Garland Wayne Davis of Shreveport. He is the grandson of Mrs. Theresa MacKenzie of Shreveport and the late Mr. James MacKenzie and Mr. and Mrs. Huey Davis of Dubach.


Given by her family and escorted by her grandfather, Mr. Everett Payne, the bride wore an elegant strapless ivory gown with a beaded sash and cathedral laced veil.

Serving as maids of honor were her sisters; Catherine Elizabeth Payne and Laura Marie Payne of Minden. 
Bridesmaids included Allison Elizabeth Wise of Rogers, Arkansas; Erin Madden Ramsey of Minden, Catherine Quinn Harper, Taylor Ann Breland, Catherine Eleanor Lynn, and Meredith Ashley Davis, sister of the groom; of Shreveport.
Scott Everett Richardson of Bossier City served as best man and groomsmen included Gerald Douglas Gary III of Woodlands, Texas; Thomas Michael Witter of Rapid City, South Dakota; Austin Lee Thompson of New Orleans; Travis Broox Warren of Hot Springs, Arkansas; Eric Steven Testerman of Brooklyn, New York; Garrett Edward Speed of Houston and Cody Lee Hanna of Shreveport.

Ushers were James Benjamin Strain of Baton Rouge and John William Sella of Shreveport. Gina Marie Spatafore, Monica Gomez Speyrer, Jessica Lyn Richey, Katie Marie Theriot and Sarah Elizabeth Watson served in the house party. 

Serving as flower girl was Madelyn Grace Bomar and Grayson MacKenzie Bomar served as ring bearer.  Following the ceremony a reception was held at Silver Lake Ballroom in downtown Shreveport.

Ashley attended Louisiana Tech University where she was a member of Phi Mu Sorority and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Health Information Administration in 2008. She works for the Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency (LOPA) where she is a Hospital Resource Coordinator.

Clint is a 2008 graduate of Louisiana Tech University where he earned a bachelor's degree in Accounting and a Master's of Professional Accountancy in 2009. Clint was a member of Delta Chi Fraternity. He currently works for RBM LLP.

Following their honeymoon to the Bahamas, the couple will reside in Shreveport
